My alma mater is the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where I completed both my Bachelor‘s and Master‘s degrees in Science. My academic journey was enriched by a fully funded international experience at the University of Groningen, a top 100 institution according to Times Higher Education Rankings.
My education has been distinctly multidisciplinary and mathematically intensive, beginning at the Center of Applied Physics and Advanced Technology (CFATA). There, I built a broad foundation across mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, and biology. My undergraduate studies led to a transformative semester at the Bernoulli Institute for Applied Mathematics and Cognitive Sciences at Groningen. This path culminated in my Master‘s work at the Institute of Interdisciplinary Mathematics and Applied Systems (IIMAS), where I developed expertise in statistical learning, information theory, frequentist statistics, statistical privacy, and numerical analysis—creating a robust understanding of ML research.
Having benefited from world-class open education opportunities—including UNAM, Groningen University, MIT OpenCourseware, and deeplearning.org—I am passionate about advancing open education, open science, and open source initiatives. This commitment drives me to actively contribute to the open community while pursuing continuous learning and ethical AI development throughout my career.
